Olalla Washington<br />
Certainly the country’s most spectacular modern-day evocation of Storybook Style is Richey and Karen Morgan’s Olalla, Washington home, begun in 1980 and still a work in progress. The Morgans were inspired to begin this undertaking after seeing a fanciful Storybook cottage in Vancouver, . As his own contractor, Richey has had to rediscover numerous Storybook construction techniques, as well as inventing a number of new ones. He has set down his hard-won experience in an informal guide to Storybook design, complete with sketches.
