Camper rentals are very popular in Australia and represent a way for tourists to get a more authentic Australian experience. Wicked Campers rents a variety of campervans from the austere (no air conditioning) to the deluxe (air conditioning and power steering). All of the campers are brightly painted, often with scenes from Australia. This platypus-themed, converted Mazda van is painted in the Australian aboriginal dot painting style that originated over 50,000 years ago in central Australia. Aborigines didn’t have a written language, so dot paintings were a way of writing a short story. Photographed in the parking lot of the Giant Earthworm Museum, Gippsland, Australia.
