King
This eighteen-foot 1953 King trailer manufactured in Torrance, California has a classic canned ham profile: flat ovid sides and a curving midsection that forms the roof and the fore and aft planes. This old trailer was acquired with new technology: it was purchased on EBay. Coupled with the King is a 1956 Willys wagon with a woody-like paint scheme. Woodys (with real wood) were poplar in the late 1940's and early 1950's but they were expensive to build and maintain so manufacturers looked for alternatives that still fit the woody styling. Trailer owned by Rose Cayard. Willys Wagon owned by Steve Butcher. Photographed at the Canyon RV Park, Anaheim, California.
